Capable — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-25
Capable is a personal fitness tracker. It is designed to work entirely on your device, with no account, no server, and no analytics.
What data does Capable collect?
None. Capable does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Everything you log — workouts, programs, sessions, personal records,
settings — is stored locally on your device using the operating
system’s standard secure storage (AsyncStorage / UserDefaults).
We do not run a server. We do not have a database. The app does not talk to any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting service.
What permissions does Capable use?
- Notifications (optional). If you grant permission, Capable schedules a single local notification when your rest timer ends so you can put the phone down between sets. The notification is scheduled locally on your device — nothing is sent to a server.
You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Capable. Denying it will not break any other feature; the rest timer will still count down inside the app, you just won’t get a notification.
Sharing and exports
Capable lets you export a JSON backup of your data using the standard iOS share sheet. This is a one-shot, user-initiated action — Capable does not upload your data anywhere. Wherever you choose to send the file (Files, AirDrop, an email, etc.) is governed by that destination’s privacy policy, not ours.
Children
Capable is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone (since we collect nothing at all).
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Capable introduces any data collection (it shouldn’t, but we want to be honest if priorities change), we will update this document and surface the change in-app before that version ships.
